Five Foods

May 29, 2014 by Julie 107 Comments

Hello, hello!

How are you guys doing today? Things are going well in the Fagan household.

When my day begins with a delicious breakfast, there isn’t too much to complain about, I suppose.

Greek Yogurt with Kashi Go Lean and Almonds

Greek Yogurt + Kashi Go Lean Cereal + Butter Toffee Almonds

Healthy Breakfast

It was creamy, crunchy and oh-so-tasty! I’m hoping it keeps me satisfied until it’s time to break into my morning snack at work today. I’m headed out the minute this post is published and will see you guys after lunch!

But first, here’s today’s 10 Day You Challenge…

10 Day You Challenge

We are on day five of the 10 Day You Challenge, so it’s time to chat about five foods. Since listing five all-time favorite foods sounds a little too limiting, I’m just going to share five foods I love and could eat every single day without ever getting sick of them.

Let’s do this!

Five Foods

  • Ice Cream

Ice Cream

My all-time favorite food. There’s nothing better! (And if someone can find a petition for me to sign to bring back Ben & Jerry’s Oatmeal Cookie Chunk ice cream, I’d be all over it.)

  • Chicago-Style Mix Popcorn (Cheddar + Caramel from Garrett’s)

Garrett's Popcorn Cheddar and Caramel

The perfect combination of salty and sweet! If you ever find yourself in Chicago, you must stop by Garrett’s to buy a bag of the Chicago Mix popcorn while it’s still warm. It’s heavenly.

  • My Mom’s Homemade Stuffing

Stuffing

Without a doubt, my favorite comfort food. This stuffing is a Thanksgiving staple in our house and one I look forward to eating every year!

  • Whipped Cream

Whipped Cream

Ryan told me whipped cream doesn’t really count as a food since it’s more of a topping but I disagree. It’s delicious and I love it. Especially homemade whipped cream.

  • Nut Butter (My Favorites: Peanut Butter + Almond Butter)

Nut Butter

The most addicting food on the planet. And so, so wonderful!

Question of the Morning

  • What foods could you eat every single day without ever getting sick of them?

More foods that I could eat every single day that didn’t appear above: Sushi, oysters, mussels, clams, guacamole, chocolate mousse, crab legs, chocolate chewy cookies, spaghetti bolognese, apples, pizza, watermelon… and more!

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

I like Chicago Mix popcorn too! KC mix has cinnamon with the caramel and cheddar and I think it is too much. I could eat Mexican food every day-for every meal! It is by far my fave!

I could eat PB + banana every day and, for the most part, actually do I’m with you, too, on the sushi and guac.

Seeing the Ben and Jerry’s Oatmeal Cookie Chunk always takes me back to Hooter’s. I worked there around 10 years ago and I literally ate a whole pint of that exact ice cream every single night after work lol. You would think I would have tried to watch what I ate a little more haha! Oh how I miss my 20 year old metabolism.
I could eat cashews everyday for the rest of my life and never get tired

    1. Nut butters (Sunflower seed butter is my current fave.)
    2. Eggs
    3. Greek yogurt
    4. Oats
    5. Cheese (Extra sharp cheddar for the win!)

My five foods would be (not in any particular order)
    1) Chips and salsa/guacamole –> they always come out together, convinced this counts as one pick
    2) Nut butter –> Any kind, the jar of vanilla almond cranberry butter in my pantry constantly screams my name
    3) Ice cream –> By far my favorite dessert, completely satisfying, not too sweet, and refreshing
    4) Bananas –> Who doesn’t love bananas?
    5) Nuts –> Once I start I can eat them to the point my jaw just surrenders

Sushi 100%…in particular Sugarfish. It’s a chain in LA (maybe 6 or 7) and its amazing. Like once you eat there, you’ll never ever look at sushi the same way again. Next time you come to Los Angeles, you HAVE to check it out!

Oh and also chocolate pb ice cream. Love that stuff. Haha

Garrett’s popcorn is out of this world. Don’t buy it at the United Center, though, it will cost you an arm and a leg ( worth it, but you may as well wait and get the good stuff).

I could eat peanut/almond butter every day and not get sick of it. I have to limit myself to one T of it a day due to food sensitivities, and I never make it past breakfast, haha.
